General questions about the Project CloneApp and the Operator behind.

There might come a time when you might want to uninstall and re-install programs on your Windows computer for numerous reasons. A fresh re-install tends to have its advantages, but the problem is, you will likely lose all program settings.

Life is easier when you take all your settings and tweaks with you. If you don’t want to do a full backup and restore, CloneApp backs up settings for the most popular Windows programs so you can restore them later.

CloneApp knows where each program stores its settings and registry keys, and backs them all up in one fell swoop so you don’t have to do the legwork yourself.

Does CloneApp needs to be Installed?

How do I use CloneApp?

Yes, you can find the program documentation here.

Is CloneApp not working properly on your System?

If DEP is turned on for all programs, it can cause issues with certain programs.

DEP will sometimes shut down a program or process without any notification if it violates DEP.

You can turn off Data Execution Prevention for a particular program in Windows by following the steps below.
1. Go to Start > Control Panel > System.
2. Go to the Advanced tab and access the Performance Settings.
3. Go to the Data Execution Prevention tab.
4. Now select the option "Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select"

In this case, set a exception for CloneApp.

A reboot will be required to implement the change.

Note that you can turn off DEP globally for the entire system, but it’s not recommended as it makes your computer less secure.
