How to use custom Themes in CloneApp?

Go to the download section and catch a Theme file.

There are to possibilities to Install a Theme file.

  1. Open CloneApp Hamburger/Main menu > Import > Theme file
  2. Put the downloaded Theme file in the following folder:
  • The Data folder in the CloneApp installation directory (e.g. C:\Users\Mirinsoft\Desktop\CloneApp\Data)

By default the Theme file will be activated immediately. CloneApp does not need to be restarted for the changes to take effect.

CloneApp v2.04 (Build 222)

I'm, pleased to announce the latest release of CloneApp.

In this release, I've added a new function to the BackupFolder command, which supports Wildcards.
You have Configuration files, which are located in the folder 2018.9 and 2018.10
You can backup both folders by using the Wildcard 2018*
E.g.

BackupFolder|C:\%UserProfile%\Config2018*|Version2018

In this case a custom output folder (|Version2018) is necessary. Due to Windows File system restrictions folders with * are not allowed. CloneApp would generate a folder called "Config2018*", but this is not possible. Therefore, we have to create our own custom folder "Version2018".

Another new function is the possibility to override the CloneApp UI with Theme files in realtime and to customize it through the CloneApp UI itself (Settings > Advanced > Override UI and Options).

All Release notes can be viewed here.

CloneApp is a free and portable program for Microsoft Windows devices to back up preferences, settings and other data of supported applications. CloneApp is highly customizable and can a be extended via "plug-ins", plain text files which define exactly which files, folders and Registry keys the program should preserve.

It requires Windows 10, 8.1, 8, 7 or Vista, including both 32-bit and 64-bit versions.
